The next Ubuntu Developer Summit (UDS) takes place May 10-14 in Brussels, according to Jono Bacon, Ubuntu community manager.
The next Ubuntu Developer Summit should give developers the schedule for the next release, which is version 10.10. The exact venue, as Jono Bacon announced, is at the Dolce La Hulpe Hotel and Resort in Brussels, May 10-14. In addition to developers sponsored by Canonical, numerous Ubuntu supporters who work on the free platform in their free time will attend.
Canonical's sponsorship provisions cover costs for flights and accommodations, although only in limited number. Applications are open until March 26 and allow the chance to present your own contributions to Ubuntu development.
Bacon says that it is important to note that UDS is not a conference. Bacon says the event is a participatory discussion-based summit with a goal of determining the aspects of the next Ubuntu release. He says attendees should be prepared to participate in the sessions actively.
