Debian 6.0 “Squeeze”: Call for Testing
The Debian Project asks users to help test “Squeeze” in this final development phase prior to the release.
Users are asked to specifically test for and report bugs related to new installs and upgrades.
Debian 6.0, “Squeeze” can be installed using the Debian installer. There is also an installation manual and guide to submitting problems with the installer.
The release notes are available for known workarounds for upgrading from “Lenny” to “Squeeze” and documentation for logging and recording problems should issues occur when upgrading.
The Debian Project was founded in 1993 by Ian Murdock to be a truly free, community project. Since then the project has grown to be one of the largest and most influential open source projects. Over three thousand volunteers from all over the world work together to create and maintain Debian software. Translated into over 30 languages, and supporting a huge range of computer types, Debian calls itself the "universal operating system" . -- Debian News Site
