UDS-L (Ubuntu Developer Summit) was held in Dallas, Texas, from November 16-20, 2009. UDS is where Ubuntu developers get together to plan the next release. In this case, the planning was centered on the next LTS (Long Term Support) release Ubuntu 10.04 (a.k.a., Lucid Lynx), which is scheduled to be released in April 2010. Ubuntu Developer Summit is next week, November 16-20, 2009.Can't make it in person? Well that doesn't mean you can't participate. I couldn't make UDS – Karmic either, but that didn't stop me from participating. I participated remotely, and it was awesome. I learned how the process works and how a release takes shape.
