Ubuntu User and Full Circle Magazine
Have you heard of Full Circle Magazine? Yes, well I hope are enjoying it. No, well let me tell you a little about it. Full Circle Magazine (FCM), is the independent (online) magazine for the Ubuntu Linux community. FCM has sections that cover - MOTU and Ubuntu Women Interviews, Media, Command and Conquer, Ubuntu Games, a section for people to tell their Ubuntu Story,Letters, How to Program and much more.
Banners on each site show the cross-promotion efforts that are happening between Ubuntu User and Full Circle Magazine. Ronnie Tucker, Editor-in-Chief, Full Circle Magazine, writes, in FCM Issue 32, about this cross promotion effort in his welcome letter, "If you skip to the last page of this issue, you'll see something you've never see in FCM, an advertisement. I mention it only to clarify that we are making no money from the ad, we're merely helping each other obtain readership."
Rikki Kite, Associate Publisher of Ubuntu User and Linux Pro Magazine said, "Ubuntu User magazine and Full Circle are working together to help promote our publications. Full Circle is a monthly online magazine, whereas Ubuntu User is a quarterly print publication. We think that many Ubuntu users will want to read both magazines, so our agreement with Full Circle to cross promote our products seemed like a great way to connect to the growing Ubuntu community."
I found out about FCM in March 2009, however, the online magazine launched in May 2007. Since August 2009 I have been interviewing women in the Ubuntu community for the Ubuntu Women section of FCM Magazine. I hope you will enjoy both Ubuntu User and Full Circle Magazine.
